The Hold Steady - Boys and Girls in America

The Hold Steady’s new album has come critically acclaimed from both Pitchfork and Paste and I agree with them, although probably not to the degree.

The Hold Steady is one of those bands that take you awhile to appreciate, and to even like. Although very lyrically and musically talented many potential listeners may be thrown off by the vocals - which consists of methodically rythmic speaking.

Rating: 7/10
